The Barkhor street is comparatively quiet and less noisy in winter time but still it deserves a visit, where Tibetan articles and souvenirs are available with lower prices, Tangka, praying wheels for example.
Jokhang temple opens everyday in winter except for the very important religious festivals.
Near Barkhor street there is a shop selling Tibetan Medicine, it is a shop owned by Tibet Autonomous Region Tibet Medicine Company. Coffee caf└, tea houses and some western restaurants are located near Barkhor street too, these are good places to have a rest while sitting in the sunshine. |
