Zezhol Monastery
Zezhol Monastery Zezhol monastery, the oldest monastery of Bon Sect (Bonbo sect) that is the oldest sect in Tibet. With an elevation of 4800 meters, Zezhol monastery is the highest monastery which locates at Juen village, Dengqen county, Qamdo area, Tibet, 47 kilometers away from Dengqen county. Since Zezhol monastery locates on the snowy mountain with an elevation of 4800 meters, the life condition is not so good, they still have no light power until now , the monks practice Buddhism under a very hard condition. There are more than 200 monks in Zezhol monastery now, the monastery opened 3 schools incl. Neiming School, Bianlun School, Chanding School for them. The monks can start from Neiming School and graduate from Chanding School, they have to finish the study of Gangyur (Bon sect knowledge spoken by Buddha Dnbarao), 187 Xian zong, Mi zong and Great Satisfactory scripture. In recent years, the road was built to Zezhol monastery with the donation of Buddhist believers. The best time for worship is from the late June to the mid-August. Every end of June, the annul Buddhist activity and sorcerer¡¯s dance held in Zezhol Monastery. Beginning from Cock year on Tibetan calendar (the same as the Han calendar), there is a marvelous sorcerer¡¯s dance HEAVEN and HELL held every 13 years in Zezhol monastery , which can awake people ¡®s sincerity and peacefulness .
