Highlights:
- The West Chapel in Potala contains five golden stupas. The gigantic central one contains the mummified body of the Fifth Dalai Lama. This stupa, built of sandalwood, is coated with 3,720 kilograms ( 8,200 pounds ) of gold ' as thick as a cow's hide' and studded with jewels, which is often addressed as No 1 Ornament in the Orient. It rises for more than three stories, 14.8 meters ( 48.5 feet) high. On the left is the funeral stupa of the Twelfth Dalai Lama, and on the right that of the Tenth. The stupas at both ends contain scriptures.
- 12-year-old Sakyamuni¡¯s statue in Jorkhang. It is said that Buddha Sakyamuni cast his images on the rock so that the sculptor could make the statues because Sakyamuni was shining and the sculptor failed to see the Buddha. The three images are 8-year-old, 12-year-old and 25-year-old.
- Yamataka¡¯s statue at Drepung. The bull-headed religious protector has 9 heads, 16 feet and 24 arms, hugging his concort, which is regarded as the yidam of Geluck sect of Tibet Buddhism.

Day01: Arrival either by train or flight , pickup and transfer to a hotel near Barkhor Square. Acclimatize yourself to the high altitude(3700m) at hotel or take an easy walk in the evening to see the heart of Lhasa. You can either eat in the hotel or at a local restaurant with the help of your guide.
Day02: Breakfast in the hotel .Pickup at your hotel and visit Potala, the previous religio-political center of Tibet in the morning and Jorkhang, the final destination of all the pilgrims of different sects of Tibetan Buddhism in the afternoon. You can either eat in the hotel or at a local restaurant with the help of your guide.?
Day03: Breakfast in the hotel .Pickup at your hotel and visit Drepung, Norbulinkha, Tibet Museum and Tibetan Medicine Hospital. Drepung is the largest monastery in Tibet and Geluk sect assumed the reins of government here. Norbulinkha is the summer palace of Dalai Lama. The wall painting there tells of the Tibetan spiritual history while the Tibet Museum is a place that enables you to know the Tibetan history in reality. Tibetan medicine Hospital takes you into the depth of Tibetan culture: astronomy, calendar, medicine and art. You can either eat in the hotel or at a local restaurant with the help of your guide.
Day04:Morning arrangement is flexible. Your guide takes you to see more of the holy city. Afternoon exit by flight or train.

Ride to the dock via beautiful landscapes of Benri Holy Mountain, Benri Sacred Spring,King of Mulberry,Tombs of Tibetan Kings,Site of Celestial Burial and river joint.Take a yacht downstream in Namjiabawa Canyon, the largest one in the world with fantastic valley scenery,sublime falls,magnificent snowy peaks. Drive to Daduka to visit ancient castle and overlook Mt Nanjiabawa and Great Bend of River Yarluzangbo .Then back to visit King of Cypress( 2500 year old)

Day03:Lhasa-Ganden-Drigung
160km ride north-east via Ganden to Drigung. After the visit try to approach to the sky burial site there. Over-night at guesthouse.
Ganden is the first monastery of Geluk sect. The main attraction there is Tsongkhapa¡¯s tomb stupa and the archimandrite there has achieved the highest level of Tibetan Buddhism. Drigung is the leading monastery of Drigung Kagyu sect.
Day04:Drigung-Reting ?
Some 30km to Terdrom Nunnery and the holy caves. It is nice to bathe in the medicinal hot springs if health permits. Some 100km ride through the Changthang plains to Reting Monastery. Reting Monastery is an important Gelukpa monastery in Central Tibet, situated in a sprawling juniper clad hill. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day05:Reting- Namtso
Another 100km ride to Damshung and then on to Namtso Lake, the 2nd largest salt-water lake in Tibet. The Nyenchen Thangla mountain ranges tower over the lake. During the summer months Namtso is dotted with nomad herders and their cattle and tents. Overnight at guesthouse
Day06:Namtso-Lhasa
Drive back to Lhasa and exit by train or flight.

Day04:Shigatse-Tsethang?
After visiting Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of Panchan Lama, some 300km drive to Tsethang, the cradle of Tibetan civilization. Visit Yumbulakhang and Tandrok Monastery. Overnight at hotel Day05:Tsethang-Lhasa
